Why you like working at ECC:
Science is such a dynamic field.  It is great watching a student really engage and understand such important components to life itself!  Also, I really enjoy working with such great people who are very smart and encouraging.

Hobbies/Interests/Spare Time:

Reading!  I read about 3 books a week; my public library is my happy place.  I also really enjoy archery, which is especially fun now that it is seeing so much more movie popularity.

Hometown: Graduated High School from Bertrand, NE.

Favorite Scientist:
Bill Nye the Science Guy.  It is one thing to create; it is an even greater thing to help others understand.  Bill Nye is kind of my current hero.

Favorite Weird Science thing:
I really dislike pickles.  The fact that, when they are a part of a closed circuit, they glow is crazy. That is my justification for why I don't eat them.

I am passionate about children and education. Having the opportunity to impact the way people and children think about and perceive science is exciting. Having the opportunity to take the Edgerton Explorit Center to new level of greatness is amazing.

Hobbies and Interests:
Spending time with my husband, Dan, my son, Jacob, and two dogs, Rylie and Josey. Anything competitive. I have been an athlete and coached on the high school and college level for 20 years. I am competitive to a fault and do not like to lose at anything I do.

Favorite Scientist:
Leonardo Da Vinci. I love his fascination with science and his in-depth study of human anatomy.

Favorite Weird Science thing:
The aurora borealis. It is like a form of artů.all of the magnetic and electrical forces react with one another in constantly shifting combinations. These shifts and flows can be seen as the auroras "dance," moving along with the atmospheric currents.
