WEARABLE ART AND SCIENCE CAMP

Have you ever wanted to make clothes that light up or design your own t-shirts? This will explore using technology and sublimation to create wearable art. The line between art and technology blurs more every day, with this camp we are going to use technology to design creations that campers can wear.

PACIFIC AURORA’S ALTERNATIVE FUELS CAMP

This Edgerton camp will put a green twist on the summer by exploring building green, learning about environmentally friendly design and alternative energy. MECHATRONICS

June 20th – 23rd

Mechatronics combines electrical, mechanical, computer, and industrial engineering. In this camp campers will work with an Arduino kit to design and build projects that will ignite the camper’s creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills. Campers will get a chance to learn from ISSI staff members how mechatronics fits into their future careers. Campers have the option to purchase an Arduino Kit so they can continue their work at home.

MACGYVER’S ADAPTIVE SCIENCE CAMP

Based on the remake of the popular TV show MacGyver this camp is all about adaptive science. Campers will learn how to use resourcefulness to employ their knowledge of science and technology to resolve real life problems.

CORNERSTONE BANK’S ADVENTURES IN 3D DESIGN CAMP

July 31st – Aug 4th • 9:00am – 12:00pm
Grades: 6th – 8th
Instructor: Adam Hahn and Edgerton Staff
Design, Create, Print! This advanced camp was developed for campers to bring their ideas and creations to life with a real 3D-printed model. Students will use cutting edge 3D-printing technology on an Andriod and IOS platform to produce, evaluate and reiterate models and design creations.

Scholarships available based on financial need. If your student qualifies for the Free and Reduced Lunch Program at their school, they may be eligible to attend a summer camp free of charge due to support from our corporate sponsors.
CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS: Cancellations made 30 days in advance of the first day of the camp session are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made 10 days before the first day of the camp session are eligible for a 50% credit voucher. Cancellations made less than 10 days before the start of the camp session will not be refunded. Students removed from a camp for disciplinary reasons are not eligible for a refund. The Edgerton Explorit Center reserves the right to vary its programs and to reschedule or cancel an event if it is undersubscribed or for any other reason. The Edgerton Explorit Center aims to give participants at least 1 weeks’ notice if an event is rescheduled or cancelled, and give a full refund for cancelled events.
